By developing and applying creative strategies to meet the educational needs of children who can be hard to teach, the Special Ed Teacher will coordinate educational programs within an assigned setting and, through lesson planning and teaching, meet our children’s IEP goals. This position will also mentor paraprofessional staff to ensure they develop confidence and skills necessaryto fulfill their prescribed roles and responsibilities in the educational program. An important function of this position is to ensure necessary communication with parents, caregivers, and treatment team members regarding outstanding educational issues.
minimum qualifications
- A BA and a Special Educational Teaching Credential
- At least 2 years of experience
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
