We are looking for a Per Diem Nurse to provide direct patient/parental care services to clients including consulting regularly with childcare staff regarding care for individual children. Other duties include observing and assessing children for signs and symptoms of illness, general behavior and general physical condition; assisting in crisis intervention with children in cottage, care as directed by the Treatment Manager, and cottage team or Nursing Supervisor; assisting in arranging or provides transportation of children for emergency care and/or medical appointments as necessary; and monitoring children’s response to medication (i.e. effectiveness, side effects, adverse reactions).

Minimum Requirements

• Must be a registered nurse with a current license issued by the California Board of Registered Nursing
• Previous experience and/or clinical experience during college internship with children in outpatient pediatric or psychiatric settings, and/or experience with emotionally disturbed children in outpatient settings is preferred.
• Sound clinical experience in psychiatric and pediatric nursing is required.
