About the Position

Part-Time
San Carlos 

We are looking for a part time (10 Hours) Peer Educator. Throughout the year, this position facilitates bilingual (English/Spanish) Chronic Disease Self-Management Program (CDSMP) workshops for seniors at various sites within San Mateo County. Upon hire, the Peer Educator completes a 2 part Spanish Language Master Trainer/Leader Certification process at Stanford University. Then, they will co-facilitate standardized CDSMP classes at various Edgewood and community locations in San Mateo.

Minimum Qualifications

• Knowledge of living with chronic health conditions, either through first-hand experience or by caring for others with chronic health conditions
• Ability to work collaboratively with people from diverse range of cultural backgrounds and community contexts
• Fluency in both English and Spanish are required.
