Evening Facility Manager

This position oversees the residential facility and the staff during the evening shifts.  The Evening Facility Manager ensures that staff complete the required paperwork such as mental health notes and SIRs and periodically reviews the status of three cottages during the weekend and offer appropriate assistance or consultation when necessary.  This position assesses emergency or crisis situations, coordinate response, and implement plans concerning these events in collaboration with the on call staff.  Other duties include ensuring that positive programming is being provided within individual cottages and that recreational activities are provided each weekend day to the entire campus and that kids are having fun; assessing and implementing  the need for additional or substitute staff coverage; regularly checking agency buildings and grounds and report and/or correct any security or safety inadequacies; and maintaining responsibility for knowledge of and carrying out agency policy regarding emergency, safety, and the internal and external disaster plans.  This position also carries out his/her duties as a residential counselor in accordance with agency policies, procedures and objectives. 

Minimum Requirements

  • A BA in social sciences is preferred along with two years of direct care with an emotionally disturbed population
  • Leadership and supervisory experience working in a setting with an emotionally disturbed population
  • Valid CA drivers license
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
