Edgewood is seeking an Interim Bilingual Clinician to work in our Children and Youth Clinic (C/Y), a unit in Turning Point, a program which serves as the primary source for wraparound services in San Mateo County. Turning Point provides a culturally sensitive, family centered, strengths-based and needs driven model of care, in which clients identify their needs and strengths and work with their care teams as equal partners.
Working collaboratively as part of a multi-disciplinary Care Team, the Clinician co-authors Care Plans with clients, that build on their strengths and assets and provide family, multi-family, group, couples and individual therapy as an integrated part of the treatment plan. The clinician will execute treatment plans that are focused and outcomes driven, using promising and evidence based practices. Other duties include participating in family conferences for development and review of treatment plans; providing urgent and emergent assessments; and developing and implementing parent education/peer support groups focused on support, parenting and other pertinent topics.
Minimum Qualifications
- A master’s degree is required along with a clinical license or license eligibility
- Candidates should have experience working with children and families that have been or are involved in issues relating to abuse.
- Excellent verbal, written and consultation skills are essential.
- Bilingual in Spanish is required.
