School-Based Mental Health Services
Edgewood's school-based mental health clinicians work with school staff and teachers to help determine what services may benefit a child and family and link the family to the appropriate service. The clinician may also provide some short-term or long-term therapy to identified families at the school or at the home for students identified with full-scope Medi-Cal and/or AB3632. Edgewood has a strong commitment to strengthen children through work with the entire family in their own community. The clinician also works very closely with the Youth and Family Outreach Coach and supervises this worker and the rest of the team to understand the underlying mental health issues that a child or family may be facing.
