Program Services
The Edgewood Technical Assistance Team maintains and upgrades the Kin Database, which tracks and contains all client data for research and client well-being. It is used as a resource by the 20 state-contracted counties. It also provides training in areas such as outreach, building support groups, grant writing, and program development. The Edgewood Technical Assistance Team visits each state-contracted Kinship program once per year to work one-on-one to enhance the program and its services. The Edgewood Technical Assistance Team also hosts three regional conferences each year where state-contracted Kinship programs are invited to network, build relationships, attend trainings, and provide feedback about the Kin Database. The Edgewood Technical Assistance Team also hosts a website, www.cakinship.org that identifies all the state-contracted Kinship programs in California, as well as Kinship resources and contact information for all California counties.
