Acute Intensive Service Programs

Our Acute Intensive Services are family-focused programs designed to assess, stabilize, and
treat youth (ages 6-17) from throughout Northern California facing behavioral or emotional challenges.

You can help Edgewood children and their families with a one time gift, or, set up a recurring gift to provide ongoing help all year round!

   

Crisis Stabilization Unit

Location: San Francisco
Comprehensive psychiatric evaluation, risk assessment, and medical screening

Hospital Diversion Program

Location: San Francisco
10-14 day residential program

Partial Hospitalization Program

Location: San Francisco
2-4 week outpatient program
Hours: 8:30am-6:30pm

Intensive Outpatient Program

Locations: San Francisco and San Carlos
8-16 week intensive program, 3-5 days a week

Our Approach

  • Utilize Collaborative Problem Solving to join caregivers and children in working together
  • Target reducing high risk behaviors and developing coping strategies and stress management skills
  • Communication Focused - Parents, Outside providers, Edgewood Team Members, Insurance Case Managers
  • Clinical and Medical Services

  • Individual and family therapy
  • Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), and process oriented groups daily
  • Skills building groups and milieu therapy
  • Weekly groups offered for caregivers
  • Edgewood Psychiatrist are assigned to all youth in Hospital Diversion and Partial Hospitalization Program
