ACTION ALERT: Oppose Governor Brown’s 2012 proposed budget cuts to CalWORKs

The Governor has proposed $517 million in cuts to California's low-income Kinship children and families. Since 1998, the state of California's Califonia Work Opportunity and Responsibility to Kids (CalWORKs) program, has assisted low-income families and children by providing quality affordable childcare support. This subsidy has enabled caregivers to work or seek out employment under the state's Welfare-to-work program, while ensuring that their children are safe.
