NEW CHIEF OF PROGRAMS AND STRATEGY: Matthew Madaus, LCSW

Edgewood Center for Children and Families is pleased to announce its new Chief of Programs and Strategy, Matthew Madaus, LCSW. Beginning on July 19, Mr. Madaus will oversee all of Edgewood's Services including its residential treatment facility in San Francisco as well as its school- and community-based programs in San Francisco and San Mateo counties. Mr. Madaus will be responsible for the vision, design, implementation and expansion of all Edgewood's programs. He will lead the staff of more than 400 direct services and mental health professionals in maintaining best practices and providing quality care to the more than 5,000 children and families Edgewood currently serves.
Mr. Madaus says, "Edgewood is an industry leader in providing innovative programs designed to meet the needs of the community. As the new Chief of Programs and Strategy, I look forward to continuing the legacy by developing the next generation of quality programs that fill the gaps found in the system today."
Mr. Madaus comes to Edgewood from Victor Community Support Services, Inc. in Marysville, California where he has worked as the Executive Director since 2003. During his tenure, Mr. Madaus was a driving force behind Victor's substantial growth. Prior to working at Victor, Mr. Madaus gained experience working in all areas of Edgewood's core competencies including education, behavioral health and family support services. Mr. Madaus has worked in residential treatment, school-based and community-based mental health services in both California and Boston. A licensed clinical social worker, Mr. Madaus received his Master of Social Work with a concentration in clinical and mental health from San Diego State University.
