JEFF DAVIS APPOINTED INTERIM CEO OF EDGEWOOD CENTER FOR CHILDREN AND FAMILIES
For Immediate Release
August 30, 2010
After nine years of service to Edgewood Center for Children and Families, Nancy Rubin retired from her role as CEO effective August 27. Under Nancy’s leadership Edgewood has grown to a $24 million agency with more than 400 employees serving more than 5,000 children and families. The Edgewood board of directors has appointed Jeff Davis as interim CEO while they continue their search for a permanent leader. A former Edgewood volunteer, fund-raiser, board member and CEO (1997-2000), Jeff will guide the agency through the management transition.
“Jeff’s experience is of great value to staff and board,” says Paul Holm, Jr., chairman of the board. “He will work closely with the executive team to manage day-to-day functioning of Edgewood, contribute to the momentum of the agency’s programs, and support the new CEO with his/her transition.”
Throughout his career, Jeff has served in strategic and leadership roles both in the commercial and non-profit sectors. Over the last nine years, he worked with a broad range of international non-profit organizations and media projects to support advocacy and fund raising for various causes. Human rights, education, child welfare, health care, the preservation of our environment and other concerns remain areas of his leadership focus. Jeff’s formal education includes degrees from Stanford University (Bachelor of Science with honors in Product Design and General Engineering, 1983) and Harvard University (MBA, 1989).
“I am grateful for the opportunity to contribute as part of Edgewood’s leadership team,” says Jeff. “The Agency’s mission and programs remain an inspiration.”
