The Edgewood Auxiliary Presents the 42nd Annual Edgewood Fair
April 20, 2008
SAN FRANCISCO — The Edgewood Auxiliary will host the 42nd Annual Edgewood Fair, with a “Green Garden” theme, on May 6 and 7 at the Presidio's Golden Gate Club. This venerable San Francisco tradition will benefit Edgewood and their programs that support Bay Area children and families in crisis.
The Edgewood Fair begins on Tuesday, May 6 with The Party, held from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. This evening gala will feature a VIP reception, gourmet food provided by Invisible Chef, a lounge area with specialty cocktails from local mixologists, scotch and port tastings, an outdoor cigar bar, and live music and dancing. There will be extraordinary silent auction items and fabulous boutique shopping with more than 40 unique vendors from around the country.
The Fair continues on Wednesday, May 7 with The Lunch. A delicious sit-down luncheon catered by Comforts of San Anselmo will be served at noon, and attendees will enjoy another day of boutique shopping from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
The Edgewood Fair began as a modest event hosted by the Auxiliary to buy holiday gifts for Edgewood's children. Today the Fair is a major fundraiser that has raised many millions of dollars for the organization over the years. “We're so proud to be a part of this amazing annual tradition that helps raise funds for the children and families served by Edgewood,” said Fair Co-Chair, Zoe Bonnette.
