The Kinship Support Services Program (KSSP)
is funded by the State of California in partnership with counties and private nonprofit agencies to provide support services to caregivers who are raising a child of a relative.
These programs often ensure that in the absence of one or both biological parents the children can remain in the care of family and within their own communities. Currently, there are twenty counties participating in KSSP. (See orange colored counties on map).
