The 50th Edgewood Fair

THANK YOU...

...for making this year's 50th Edgewood Fair a HUGE success!

On behalf of the Edgewood Auxiliary and Edgewood Center for Children and Families, we want to thank you so much for making this year's 50th Edgewood Fair a HUGE success for Bay Area kids!

With your support, we were able to raise over $450,000 which will help us serve over 7,000 youth and their families throughout San Francisco and San Mateo counties!

During the Fair, we heard incredible stories of hope, perseverance, and transformation. The event was truly a wonderful gathering of everyone that makes up the heart and soul of Edgewood including our Legacy Partner, Levi Strauss & Co., and honoring our Edgewood Auxiliary Alumnae - a group of dedicated women who laid the foundation for the Fair and for many of Edgewood's programs that are operating today.

As you can see from the photo album slide show below, this was truly a celebration for the senses with the stunning Bently Reserve as the backdrop, performances by the San Francisco Conservatory of Music, event services by Ideas and catering by McCalls

We want to express our appreciation to the amazing Edgewood Auxiliary including Fair Chairs Abbey Walker and Kelly Fair, Co-Presidents Susan Hendrickson and Kathleen Darling, Second Vice President, Membership Sarah Semple, and Sponsorship Chairs Kerry Bourdon, Sandi Colabianchi, and Buffy Wang.

We look forward to seeing you at future Edgewood events and activitiesThank you so much for supporting Edgewood Center for Children and Families and see you at the 51st Edgewood Fair next year!

Special thanks and gratitude to our sponsors and underwriters and to all of the volunteers that gave generously of their time.

Sincerely,

EDGEWOOD CENTER FOR CHILDREN AND FAMILIES - TRANSFORMING LIVES, RESTORING HOPE

The Edgewood Garden Fair made its debut on May 3, 1967 in the Hall of Flowers in Golden Gate Park. It began as a garden festival for the Auxiliary to sell home-grown plants and handmade jams to benefit children with mental illness. Since then, the Edgewood Auxiliary has grown the Edgewood Fair into a sophisticated two-day annual charity extravaganza raising a total of $7 million to benefit the thousands of Bay Area children, youth, and families Edgewood Center for Children and Families serves each year.

DID YOU KNOW

  • The Edgewood Auxiliary was formed in 1948?
  • Edgewood Center for Children and Families is the oldest children's charity in the western U.S., founded in 1851?
  • In any given year, 13 percent of children in the U.S. suffer from mental disorders, yet only 1 in 5 of those is able to access mental health services?
