Now celebrating its 46th year, the Edgewood Auxiliary is pleased to announce the theme of this year’s Fair, “Passport to the South Seas.” We will feature exquisite Polynesian cuisine, decadent auction and shopping opportunities, and dynamic speakers and entertainment. Since 1967, the Edgewood Fair has resulted in over $7 million in vital funding for the children and families of Edgewood.

Guest Speaker: This year we are honored to have as our guest speaker, Samantha Parent Walravens. Samantha is an award-winning journalist, writer and mother of four children. Her writing has appeared in publications including PC World, Salon.com, Healthy Women, the Huffington Post, Urban Baby, Yahoo! News and several mommy blogs. She has been a guest on the Today Show, NPR Radio, ABC News Radio and Moms Homeroom. Her new book, Torn: True Stories of Kids, Career and the Conflict of Modern Motherhood, was chosen by the New York Times as the first pick for its new Motherlode online book club, and reached #1 on Amazon.com for books in the Motherhood category. Samantha is a Phi Beta Kappa graduate of Princeton University and has a Master in Literature and Womens Studies from the University of Virginia.
